What’s new:
- Shopify collections now sync to Square, so your catalog stays organized the same way on both platforms.
- Customer lifetime value and purchase channel now sync between Shopify and Square, so you can see who your best customers are, wherever they buy.

What’s new:
- Refund and cancellation sync. Refunds and canceled orders in Shopify now update in Square automatically, with no manual matching at the register.
- Sync failure alerts. Get an email digest every 6 hours if any order, fulfillment, refund, or cancellation fails to sync. You can turn alerts on or off in settings.
- One-click retry. Resend a failed sync directly from the order page.
- VAT sync. VAT and tax details set in Square now appear correctly on your Shopify products.
Improvements:
- Shopify pickup orders that include tips now sync to Square correctly.
- Multiple partial refunds on the same order now sync with the correct amounts.
- Improved inventory accuracy for multi-location stores.

What’s new:
- Separate Pickup and Shipping controls. Choose whether pickup orders, shipping orders, or both sync from Shopify to Square.
- Shipping order sync. Shopify orders marked for shipping now sync to Square, in addition to pickup orders.
- Barcode sync. Barcode changes now sync based on your primary inventory source.
Improvements:
- Inventory is now rechecked after every synced order, so stock stays matched across both platforms.
- More reliable syncing during busy sales periods.
- Large initial exports now complete without stalling.
- Square POS no longer shows duplicate transactions for synced orders.

What’s new:
- Pickup orders synced to Square now show the customer’s name on the receipt, so staff can find orders at the counter faster.
- Orders created in Shopify now keep the original Square sale date for cleaner reporting.
- Gift card sync now covers more Square gift card activity, including past activity.

- Improved inventory accuracy after Square POS sales, including for products without SKUs.
- Square POS orders now arrive in Shopify with the correct delivery method and status.

What’s new:
- Deletion safeguard. When Square is your primary source, you can choose to delete the linked Shopify product when you delete a product in Square. The setting is off by default, affects only linked products, and every deletion is logged.
- Smarter product linking. Products link by SKU when every variation has one and fall back to title and options when they don’t, which prevents duplicates.
- Sync without SKUs. Products without SKUs now sync inventory and updates too.
- Gift card alerts. Get notified by email if a gift card fails to sync, with the reason shown in the app.
Improvements:
- Square unit price now syncs to “Cost per item” in Shopify.
- Deleted or archived Square products are unlinked without affecting your Shopify products.
- Faster product loading during onboarding, with accurate progress.
January 2026 [5.0.0–6.3.0]
What’s new:
- Square gift card sync. Keep gift card balances consistent between Square and Shopify.
- Automatic SKU linking. Products with matching SKUs link automatically, with no manual matching.
- Enterprise plan. A new plan for high-volume merchants.
Improvements:
- Faster loading across the dashboard, orders, and product pages.
- Orders with credit card surcharges now show the correct fulfillment status.

Late 2025 (October–December)
- Square → Shopify order sync. Includes a new Orders page with filters, tax mapping, automatic fulfillment, and fulfillment status sync back to Square.
- Customer sync settings, including email marketing status and matching by phone number.
