This error appears when your Etsy shop has no processing profiles at all, making it impossible to assign one to any product.
Error Key: ProcessingProfileNotExist
What Is a Processing Profile? #
A processing profile defines your order readiness state and the time you need to prepare an item before shipping. Etsy requires at least one processing profile to exist in your shop before you can publish any physical listing via the API. You need to create profiles in Etsy first, and then the app can sync them and assign them to products.
There are two readiness state types:
- Ready to ship — with a stated min/max processing time in business days
- Made to order — indicating the item is created after the order is placed, with a stated production window
Why This Happens #
This error occurs when:
- No processing profiles have been created in your Etsy shop yet
- Profiles exist on Etsy but have not yet been fetched into the app
- All previously existing profiles were deleted
How to Fix It #
- Go to your Etsy Shop Manager and create at least one processing profile under your shop’s listing settings, or use the app if it supports creating them directly.
- In the Etsy Integration – DPL app, fetch (sync) your processing profiles to pull the new profile into the app.
- Open the affected product and assign the newly synced profile.
- Retry the upload.
Note: Digital listings do not require processing profiles. If you only sell digital products and are seeing this error, contact support as this may indicate a misconfiguration.
