This error appears when one or more of a product’s prices — including individual variation prices — exceed Etsy’s maximum allowed price.
Error Key: PriceTooHigh
Etsy’s Price Ceiling #
Etsy allows listing prices up to a maximum of 50,000 USD (or the equivalent in your shop’s local currency). This ceiling applies to every price in the listing, including individual variation prices. Prices above this limit are rejected at upload.
Why This Happens #
- A price was entered in the wrong currency (e.g., a price of 60,000 JPY entered as 60,000 USD)
- A currency conversion applied by the app or a sync resulted in an inflated price
- A data-entry error — for example, an extra zero was added by mistake
- A variation has a price override that is abnormally high
How to Fix It #
- Open the affected product in the Etsy Integration – DPL app.
- Review all prices, including individual variation prices.
- Correct any price above 50,000 USD (or your currency’s equivalent). Verify the currency settings are correct before re-entering the price.
- Save and retry the upload.
Tip: If you sell high-value items (luxury goods, custom commissions, artwork), make sure your price reflects the actual currency your Etsy shop operates in, and confirm the sync is not performing an unintended conversion.
