Frequently Asked Questions #
Q: Can I upload only some products from a collection?
A: Yes, you can select individual products within a collection.
Q: Why are products uploaded as Drafts?
A: Products are uploaded as Drafts by default to help you avoid unnecessary fees on Etsy. Etsy charges $0.20 for each active listing, so uploading products as Drafts gives you the flexibility to review them, make any necessary edits (like pricing, description, or categories), and then activate only the products you are ready to sell. This ensures you only pay for listings you want to go live.
Q: Can I edit a profile after creating it?
A: Absolutely! Profiles are fully editable at any time. You can change product settings like pricing, Etsy categories, or other attributes even after the profile is created. This is useful if your store updates or if you want to correct any mistakes without having to create a new profile from scratch.
Q: Can I create multiple profiles?
A: Yes, you can create as many profiles as you need. This is particularly helpful if you have different types of products or collections. For example, you might have one profile for T-shirts with certain pricing rules and Etsy categories, and another profile for pants with different rules. This keeps your settings organized and makes future uploads much faster and easier.
Q: Will unpaid orders sync?
A: No, the app will only sync orders that have been marked as paid. This is to ensure that only confirmed sales are imported into Shopify for fulfillment. Unpaid or pending orders will not appear until payment is completed. This helps prevent mistakes like shipping products that haven’t been paid for yet.
Q: How do I sync orders placed before installing the app?
A: Orders placed before the app was installed will not automatically sync because they were created before the app installation. To bring these orders into the system, use the Fetch Orders button in the Orders section of the app. This lets you manually import older orders so you can manage.
Q: Why don’t Etsy updates automatically appear in the app?
A: Due to API limitations our app cannot sync the updates/new products from Etsy automatically. This means that any new product added or changes made directly in Etsy will not instantly appear in the app. To bring those updates into the app, you need to click the Sync Etsy Products button, which will pull in all new products and updates so your Shopify store stays up-to-date.
Q: Will VAT sync automatically?
A: No, Etsy does not provide VAT information automatically. To ensure your Shopify orders reflect the correct VAT, you need to manually input the VAT percentage in the app’s settings. Once entered, the app will automatically apply this VAT to all synced orders from Etsy.
Q: Orders failed to sync. What should I do?
A: If an order fails to sync, it usually means the products in that order are not correctly linked between Etsy and Shopify or the stocks are not available in Shopify. First, check that the product is linked in the Linked Products or Linked SKUs tab or inventory is available in Shopify or not. If it isn’t, you may need to manually link the product to the corresponding Shopify product. Once linked correctly, you can retry syncing, and the order should import without issues.
