⚠️ Transparent Image Issue on Etsy #

According to Etsy’s image listing requirements, your shop images must be in one of the following file formats: .jpg, .gif, or .png. These are the only supported file types.

However, Etsy does not support:

Animated .gif files
Transparent .png files

If you upload an image with a transparent background, Etsy will display the transparent areas as black.

🧾 Example: #

As you can see, the transparent parts of the image turned black. This happens because Etsy doesn’t support transparency in images.

To avoid this, make sure to use images without transparency. You can learn more about Etsy’s image requirements in this article.
