Important Etsy API Rules & Requirements: #
When uploading listings to Etsy, there are a few key points to keep in mind based on their API:
-
You can upload up to 20 images per product listing (including the primary image). Even if your product has more than 20 images, only the first 20 images will be uploaded to Etsy.
-
If your product has only one variation (e.g., just color), and you’ve added images matching each variation, the images will automatically change based on the selected variation on Etsy.
🧥 Example: #
If you are selling a shirt with different color options, and you have uploaded images for each color, the image will change according to the selected color on the product page.
However, if your product has more than one variation (e.g., color and size), Etsy won’t switch images based on the variation selected. The images will remain static.
