Digital Product Labs is heading to Canada for Shopify DotDev 2026, taking place in Toronto on July 21-22.
DPL co-founder and managing director Roshan Bhattarai, together with our technical lead Subash Ghimire, will represent the company at the two-day event. They will join Shopify product and engineering teams, app developers, agencies, and technology partners from across the commerce ecosystem.
DotDev brings together the people building Shopify and the companies extending it through apps, integrations, and commerce technology.
Supporting the Next Stage of Multichannel Commerce
Commerce is expanding beyond the traditional online storefront, with AI-assisted tools and new buying experiences changing how products are managed, discovered, and purchased.
Shopify DotDev 2026 will focus on areas including agentic commerce, AI-assisted merchant workflows, inventory infrastructure, app development, and the future of Shopify’s commerce platform.
These developments are closely connected to DPL’s work across marketplace integrations, product information management, inventory synchronization, orders, and fulfillment.
Attending DotDev helps keep DPL’s product direction aligned with Shopify while ensuring new capabilities are assessed against the practical needs of multichannel sellers.
What DotDev Means for DPL Merchants
For businesses using DPL products, the focus remains practical: stronger Shopify compatibility, more reliable synchronization, better product-data management, and less repeated work across connected sales channels.
Accurate titles, variants, SKUs, attributes, pricing, and inventory will also become increasingly important as products appear across marketplaces and AI-assisted shopping experiences. This aligns closely with DPL’s marketplace integrations and MerchPIM.
New capabilities will be evaluated against one standard: whether they solve real multichannel problems and strengthen the products merchants already rely on without adding unnecessary complexity.
Bringing Merchant Experience Into the Conversation
DPL has worked closely with businesses selling across Shopify and external marketplaces since 2016. Through integration apps for channels including eBay, Etsy, Faire, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and Square, DPL has a direct view of the challenges merchants face when product data, inventory, orders, and fulfillment must remain accurate across several connected systems.
DotDev creates an opportunity to bring that practical perspective into conversations with Shopify teams and other developers around marketplace integrations, product information management, merchant automation, agentic commerce, and the future of Shopify apps.
A Message From Our Team
“Attending Shopify DotDev goes beyond seeing what is new. It is about ensuring the next stage of Shopify technology translates into stronger and more dependable multichannel products for DPL merchants. As agentic commerce and AI-enabled applications reshape how businesses sell, DPL remains focused on making product, inventory, and order workflows simpler and more reliable.”
