Our Venture Philosophy: From Problem to Product
We believe strong products are born from repeated exposure to real problems.
Across Shopify ecosystems, our users consistently encountered the same challenges:
Catalog Chaos
Fragmented product data creates inconsistent, unreliable catalogs
Manual Operations
Repetitive workflows don’t scale as SKUs and teams grow
Non-Native Tools
External systems don’t match Shopify’s data model
Scale Breakdown
Multi-store and high-SKU complexity expose system limits
Digital Product Labs ventures exist to address these gaps with purpose-built, Shopify-native solutions.

MerchPIM
Shopify-Native Product Information Management
After 7+ years working with Shopify brands, we kept seeing the same bottleneck: as catalogs grow, product data becomes inconsistent, hard to govern, and costly to maintain.
Most PIM systems weren’t built for Shopify’s data model, and Shopify itself lacks the kind of structured, end-to-end product governance teams need once they move beyond spreadsheets and manual bulk edits.
MerchPIM is a Shopify-native Product Information Management (PIM) platform built to bring structure, control, and scalability to day-to-day catalog operations, without forcing merchants into non-native workflows. It’s designed around Shopify primitives (products, variants, metafields, media, collections) so teams can standardize how product information is created, reviewed, updated, and published while keeping implementation practical and fast.
What MerchPIM helps Shopify brands achieve
- Structured attributes & metafields: Define consistent attribute models, enforce formats and allowed values, and reduce “metafield drift” across products.
- Lifecycle & version control: Manage catalog changes through planned updates, approvals, and rollbacks, handy for seasonal drops and ongoing optimization.
- Catalog governance across teams: Introduce guardrails that keep naming, content, and data consistent when multiple people contribute across stores or departments.
- Scalable product operations: Run bulk workflows for large catalogs without turning product management into spreadsheet management.
Built For:
Shopify brands scaling beyond a few hundred SKUs, agencies managing multiple client catalogs, and teams preparing for multi-store, multi-region, or multi-channel complexity.
